Though Kerala, as a state stands high in developmental parameters, there is no uniformity visible in all sections of people and they are not sustainable. Population in the backward communities have not benefited from the over all development of the state. On the other hand, they are badly affected by the mismanagement, inefficiency, corruption, and political will of the minority. Often Women and Children are the victims of it and it was a great threat to development concept of the society. The denial of the rightful share of power of women who constitute more than half of the population is an existing phenomena.  So with an objective to address these social threads, KSSS has organized self-help groups (SHG’s) for different levels of people based on their age and need.  It envisages formation of committed, critically conscious, self-managing, local leadership of women in villages.  It aims to bring cultural transition from a state of indifference to positive responses.

Our Community based rehabilitation for the mentally retarded and Physically Handicapped has brought high acceptance to the people of other way able. It is the primary step to ensure the active involvement and participation of primary stakeholders in the development.
